The Power of Giving
The Sasktel Pioneers have been teaching children across the province about the importance of giving to others, and part of that was a contest which had Grade 3 students share their stories about times they gave to others. The provincial winner was St. Mary’s student Mikayla Whitehawk, who shared her story about donating her hair to cancer patients. Whitehawk was given the opportunity to donate $1,000 to any charity she chose. She chose the Canadian Cancer Society.
