The nominees have been selected and now the countdown is on for the big day.

The Yorkton Film Festival has announced the main category and special award nominees for the 2011 Golden Sheaf Awards including nominees for the Emerging Filmmaker, Aboriginal Filmmaker and Ruth Shaw Best of Saskatchewan nominations.

Craft award nominees for Director Fiction, Director Non-Fiction and Research will be announced Tuesday, April 19.

All nominated films will be honoured at the Golden Sheaf Awards Gala on Saturday May 28, 2011 at the Gallagher Centre in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Registration for the Yorkton Film Festival is now open. Visit www.goldensheafawards.com for registration information.
