One of Canada's top pop groups was at Spectra Place in Estevan on Saturday night, as Hedley thrilled thousands of screaming spectators with a high-energy concert.

Hedley performed more than 15 songs in their 90-minute headlining concert. Lead singer Jacob Hoggard, bassist Tommy Mac, lead guitarist Dave Rosin and drummer Chris Crippin not only entertained with music, but they mixed in a little comedy and a couple videos into the show.

Hedley's performance started with a compilation of some of their most popular songs, as Hoggard zipped across the stage several times to get close to the audience.

Such hits as "One Life," "Bullet for your Dreams," "Heaven's Going to Wait," "Sweater Song," "Invincible," "Old School" and "Hot Mess" followed. Hoggard told fans that "Never too Late," with its words "I'm gone, I'm gone, there's got to be a better way," would be the last song.

But the band returned for four more songs: "I won't let you Go," "Perfect," "Cha Ching" and "Trip."

Many of the songs were from their latest album, "Storms" - a platinum release that reached No. 2 on the Canadian charts. But other songs were from their previous releases, which also attained platinum status in Canada.

Hedley is currently in the midst of a nation-wide tour to promote "Storms." The tour will visit Regina and Saskatoon later this year.

When fans weren't screaming, singing along with the music or dancing to the music, they were laughing, as Hedley showed an outdoors-themed video midway through the performance. Following the video, they sang two songs while sitting in a canoe, and wearing yellow fisherman's outfits.

Three high-energy opening acts were also part of the show, as Kay, Karl Wolf and Classified set the tone for the evening before Hedley stepped on the stage.
