RM of Wallace gives

On behalf of his RM, Garry Liebrecht, the Reeve of the RM of Wallace recently made a donation of $1,000 to Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation to help fund planning and preparations for a new regional hospital.

“Our council realizes that good health care is important to our residents and their families. Our current regional hospital is coming to the end of its life and we really do need to be planning to replace it. We need a new modern facility that will make it easier to attract the doctors and medical professionals we need to serve the growing population of this region,” says Liebrecht.

“This is a very important donation for The Health Foundation. While there is still a tremendous amount of work to be done to prepare for the building of a new regional facility, we are very grateful that the communities of this region understand how important it is we move forward with the planning for a new regional hospital. Clearly we will need the support of the whole region to move forward with a new regional hospital, and it is very encouraging to have communities like the R.M. of Wallace come forward with their support like this,” concludes Fisher.
