"Oklahoma" a huge success at Weyburn Comp. School

Saturday marked the end of the "Oklahoma" run and it was very successful. Over 100 students and staff enjoyed entertaining around 1,800 patrons over five-show run. Next year's performance will hopefully be in the new facility and of course will be once again be a great production led by Colleen Weimer and her raft of supporting cast.

"Good luck to the Grade Twelve students as they leave the music program at WCS," said WCS Activities Director Bob King. "We know that the Grade Elevens are looking forward to their opportunity to shine on the stage in 2013. Thanks to the public for their continued support of local theater."

The annual Spring Music Concerts will take place in the cafetorium starting at 7:30 p.m. on May 15 and 16. The Grade Twelves will be honoured for their contributions to the Weyburn schools music programs over the years on May 16. These concerts are very fitting conclusions to a great music year at WCS.

The S.T.A.R.S. show choir was been invited to perform in Brandon this weekend. They will do a joint concert with Mecca Studios and one of the Brandon high schools as well as perform concerts for school children and attend a workshop.

Weyburn will be host an invitational track meet this Saturday and a sub-district and district track meet in a couple of weeks.
