QUESTION OF THE WEEK

Fuzztone finishes first

It takes a test drive of a Walden guitar to win, and Fuzztone Music in Yorkton has had the most winners in the country to date. Cory Brooks of Melville and Fabian Quinde of Yorkton both won a case of Elixer guitar strings, worth over $300 in the contest, which is continuing through August and September.

Ken Kohlert of Fuzztone Music says they were shocked to see the majority of winners from the first draw come from their store, since the promotion is a national one with 46 stores participating.

“I think everybody is just amazed. I’ve had calls from the Walden guitar reps and everyone is overjoyed and surprised. We’ve had a lot of customers coming in and entering the contest, and we’re really pleased,” Kohlert says.

Those wanting to participate can go to Fuzztone to try out one of the Walden guitars, and fill out an entry form. The store will then send the entries to Montreal where the draw will be made. The final draw in September will be for the big prize, a trip to Nashville and a choice of any Walden guitar. Kohlert says that given the good luck in the first round, the store is pumped about the next two draws.
