REGINA - Health officials in Saskatchewan say they have fixed a computer glitch that delayed some test results being passed onto doctors.
The error affected diagnostic imaging exams of 102 patients taken over four weeks, beginning April 30.
The tests were for some new procedures and combinations of general X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, mammograms and radio flouroscopies.
The tests were done in seven health regions in the province: Sunrise, Heartland, Five Hills, Prairie North, Cypress, Prince Albert Parkland and Mamawetan Churchill.
Officials say the glitch was discovered on June 1 and quickly corrected.
Administrators are following up with doctors to make sure they receive the test results, and patients are to be notified if they need follow up treatment.
